Cunningham’s Laundry, Glenville’s newest environmentally-friendly Laundromat, hosted its Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, May 22nd. The store hosted a great event, offering complimentary food and beverages and raffling off some big ticket items including a flat screen television, child’s bicycle, iPods and gas cards.

Owner Dave Avenarius also owns another laundromat that has been in operation since 1961. “Using our other store as a guide, we truly feel we have created a first class establishment,” Avenarius said. “Every customer who has stepped in the door has given us nothing but compliments.” The newly-opened laundromat was established in conjunction with Mac-Gray, the laundry equipment distributor that designed the store and provided the washers and dryers, who Avenarius refers to as “the leader in the industry.” Dave Avenarius adds, “Mac-Gray helped in the process of selecting the right energy-efficient equipment for my store and provided top-notch service and support through the entire process.”

The approximately 2,300 square feet laundromat boasts a large, clean atmosphere with over 50 pieces of state of the art Maytag and Dexter laundry equipment. The machines available to customers include both high-efficiency equipment and large-capacity washers and dryers. “I invite local residents to come and visit our store,” said Avenarius. “At Cunningham’s, we know clean.”

Cunningham’s Laundry is located in Socha Plaza at 123 Saratoga Road in Glenville, New York.
